First stop on his journey throughout the world was Amsterdam. This city has a reputation for all sorts of crazy things and sure enough, Amsterdam had enough distractions to keep him there for three years. But alas, finally the traveling bug caught up with him and he decided to leave not only Amsterdam behind but also the security and stability of a regular life.

So he left the rainy city in the spring of 2003 with a much too heavy backpack and a one way ticket to South America. The backpack has since then gotten lighter or maybe he just grew stronger along the road... Whatever the case might be he has had many adventures, just going where the wind and chance takes him and as the traveler he is it's impossible to tell where he will be tomorrow.

Da-La's musical interest started early and it was electronic music that attracted his attention right off the bat. Guitars has always been to him like holy water to a vampire or silver to a werewolf. This does not imply however that Da-La has anything in common with the two aforementioned creatures. Except maybe his tendency to stay up all night and howl at the moon from time to time.

Kraftwerk and Depeche Mode were among the childhood heros and later more esoteric choices such as Cabaret Voltaire and Die Krupps but it was back in the mid 90's when he stumbled across trance that he found his true love.

Although being active in the trance scene for years, as a regular party person but also as an organizer of parties, the thought of actually playing the music himself never crossed his mind until one day when his girlfriend at the time said "Marc, you are so passionate about the music and know such much about different Dj's and artists. How come you don't play as well?" Hmmmm... Good question indeed and shortly thereafter he went out and bought his first decks and mixer.

The perspicacious girlfriend is since long gone but Da-La's musical career is ever evolving and he has since then played at parties and festivals in various countries around the world such as Holland, Germany, Belgium, France, Brazil, Austria, Venezuela, Italy, Slovakia, Switzerland, Colombia, Hungary, Guatemala and Mexico.

Over the course of years his interest in producing music himself has grown and he can now be found sitting at his computer for hours muttering about bass lines, MIDI sequencing, reverb algorithms and correct compressor settings.
